I am now a fan, your descriptions and pictures are outstanding, thank you for putting them out here on the web!.
I wanted to say (without yet having delved through your site) there are several VERY good ramen shops in SD that, if you haven't been, I would highly recommend.
1st is the most recent - Ramen Yamadaya opened up a shop down here (they're actually a chain, based in Orange County if i'm not mistaken), and they're VERY good for their $8 price tag. I find it best for lunch, when you have a better chance of walking in and not waiting. Their broth is their strong point, it's creamy and delicious.
2nd is Izakaya Masa in Mission Hills, they're a very traditional izakaya, serving several beers and mixed drinks, but outstanding food to go along with it, and their ramen is the best of their choices.
last is Underbelly which a much hipper, more modern spot in little italy, and while the production value isn't what I go in for, their ramen is very good, and worth a taste, in my opinion.

Thanks again for putting out these great posts, and happy eating!Ben Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05063526255139385826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7687491910500396975.post-387339091570472452012-11-04T22:46:56.559-08:002012-11-04T22:46:56.559-08:00Looks great!!! If you ask for the raw garlic to crush into, a clove makes a big (tasty) difference. Gotta say I was really disappointed with their tsukemen though.
